My name is Alison Laycraft, and I am Decor Diva!
My education in interior design started at home. As the oldest of four children, I loved to help my mom rearrange our living room furniture in our home. My mom was always changing things up to get a new look and feel in our home. I took her methods to my first home and realized that I had an affinity for decorating and design. After my first and second careers as a teacher and advertising marketing and sales rep, I knew my next adventure had to be decor.
Curating a home brings me great joy! My greatest satisfaction, however, comes from creating homes and business spaces that are comfortable, tactile, and inviting to be in. This is achieved through the connection that I build with my clients, as I work to reflect their personalities in their living/work spaces.
With an educational background that is arts-based and over 15 years of experience, I work with clients to create beautiful, functional, and unique spaces. My approach is collaborative and effective, meaning that I believe the best results are created by bringing together ideas from both client and designer.
